ErasmusDays – Celebrating an European programme
The ErasmusDays shed light on one of the most important European programmes. Learn how to contribute to and participate in the event.
Undoubtedly, the Erasmus programme is one of the best-known programmes of the European Union. Established in 1987, it has supported and enabled the international mobility of millions of European students over the years. And not only that: in 2014, an EU study revealed that participants in the programme were much more likely to enter into international relationships and around 1,000,000 Erasmus babies emerged from these relationships. The Erasmus Plus programme of today however contains a variety of policies and projects, which go beyond the support of pure exchange experiences.
In order to provide a platform for this truly unifying programme, the European Union has been organising an annual series of events since 2017: The ErasmusDays, which usually take place in October. Within three days, beneficiaries, alumni and European actors can share their experiences at the Erasmus programme, present interesting projects and learn about the possibilities. The ErasmusDays do not take place in a central location but are scattered all over Europe. The 2018 edition featured 1,435 events in 39 countries.
The ErasmusDays of 2019 will take place from 10th October to 12th October. Are you interested in participating? Have a look on the map with all events and don't forget to share your thoughts and insights. You can also contribute to the offerings of the ErasmusDay by organising an event at your local space. Report your contribution on the website of the ErasmusDays.
