Tech Partnership – Apprenticeships


Finding the right tech skills at the right cost for your business can be challenging. That's why more and more employers are finding an apprentice can offer an attractive way to diversify recruitment and bring in fresh, tailor-made talent to their companies.

Apprenticeships, which last between 12 months and 4 years, combine real-world work experience with a structured training programme. They include qualifications ranging from popular industry certifications to honours degrees.

There are currently three levels of apprenticeships under the current rules. These are being replaced by new apprenticeship standards, developed by employers for employers. Find out more about tech apprentice job roles and the new standards defining them.

Rationale: What's expected of employers and apprentices? Employers are prepared to offer their apprentice a full apprenticeship salary and support them through their training and development in the organisation. They'll offer a productive, comfortable and safe working environment for their apprentice. Apprentices are prepared to bring a positive attitude and ideas to their company and a willingness to make the very best of their opportunity. They will prove they are a productive and cost-effective contribution to the team.
