Entrepreneur’s Skills Certificate
The Entrepreneur's Skills Certificate is an initiative of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce to serve as an additional qualification for students from the eighth grade. It aims to provide schoolchildren with business-related and social skills.
The Entrepreneur's Skills Certificate prepares secondary school students for their future and the demands of the world of work. It consists of four courses, online testing and a certificate. The certificates are a confirmation of high level of commitment, better economic understanding and the study of basic economic and business contexts.
Rationale: The successful model was certified in 2006 by the European Commission and in 2011 Euro Chambres (Association of European Chambers of Commerce) has recognized it as a best practice example for Entrepreneurship Education. The concept has been introduced to Germany and Switzerland and translated for France, the Czech Republic and Poland.
