APPLICABLE TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO THE SELFIE ENTREPRENEUR PRIZE DRAW

 

FIRST.- ORGANIZATION

The Consortium formed by Telecentre –Europe AISBL (Telecentre-Europe), Technische Universitaet Dortmund (TUDO), EUN Partnership AISBL and Telefónica, S.A. (hereinafter the I-LINC Consortium) organizes the prize raw called "the Selfie Entrepreneur" in order to help students learn something new about entrepreneurship and have fun at the same time.

 

SECOND.- PARTICIPATION AND MECHANICS OF THE PRIZE RAW

The competition is addressed to two types of entrents: youth aged 18-30 years old, and teachers.

Entrants can be young people aged between 18 and 30 and willing to take part in this prize raw.

To enter this prize raw, you must

  1. Find an entrepreneur, interview him/her, and take a selfie. 
  2. Send an email to info@i-linc.eu (including your name (or initials), city, country, email address, selfie, video/title and the text of your description/interview, name of teacher (if relevant)) and your submissions will be added to the Selfie Wall.

The interview can be in text or video format. It can be in any European language. If you recorded a video, upload it on YouTube and share the link as part of the body of the email.

It is up to you to devise the questions you will cover. We suggest some topics here: your name/name of the entrepreneur; type of enterprise/sector; how you/they decide to start a business and why; advantages of working as an entrepreneur; major success when setting up the company, barriers overcome, and if there was any failure; what do you/they like/do not like about the job; skills (also digital skills) needed to become an entrepreneur; advice to youth.

Your input will be revised by the I-LINC Consortium team and once approved will appear on this page. Please note that I-LINC Consortium will not publish any offensive content.

Each submission will be evaluated by a jury (formed by the I-LINC Consortium team) against the following criteria: quality of the image/video; clarity and quality text/script; originality of content. Points for each criterion will go from 0 (lowest) to 10 (outstanding).

The best three entries of students will be invited to the I-LINC final conference, to be held in Brussels on 23 November 2017, with flight and accommodation (1 night) expenses covered by I-LINC. 

The I-LINC Consortium reserves the right to disqualify any participant who, at its discretion, participates in the promotion or obtains the prize dishonestly or against the criteria of good faith.

 

Entrants can also be teachers that engage their students with the Selfie-Entrepreneur activity. 

To enter this prize raw, you must carry out at least one of the following activities:

  1. Engage your class with the Selfie-Entrepreneur activity and report on your activities in the Entrepreneurial Teachers Community of I-LINC;
  2. Be an active participant in the Entrepreneurial Teachers Community, by taking part in the Selfie-Entrepreneur Forum thread or initiating new forum discussions on the topic;
  3. Share original resources on entrepreneurial teaching, by sending an email to info@i-linc.eu .

The participation of each entrant will be evaluated by a jury (formed by the I-LINC Consortium team) against the following qualitative and quantitative criteria: number of students engaged (quantitative), quality of community participation (qualitative); quality and originality of shared resources (qualitative). Points for each criterion will go from 0 (lowest) to 10 (outstanding).

The best entrant in this category (teachers) will be invited to the I-LINC final conference, to be held in Brussels on 23 November 2017, with flight and accommodation (1 night) expenses covered by I-LINC. 

The I-LINC Consortium reserves the right to disqualify any participant who, at its discretion, participates in the promotion or obtains the prize dishonestly or against the criteria of good faith.

THIRD.- TERRITORY, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND PRIZES

The aforementioned promotion includes students and teachers from all the countries within European Union.

The prize raw runs from September 1st, 2017 to October 31st, 2017. Entries received after this date will not be entered in to the prize raw.

This competition will have the following prize: invitation to the I-LINC final conference, to be held in Brussels on 23 November 2017. Flight and accommodation expenses (1 night) of winners will be covered by I-LINC. I-LINC will only cover expenses for flights within the territory of the European Union.

I-LINC will not reimburse any airline tickets purchased individually. Any other costs like to/from airport, local transport and/or travel insurance is at the participants' expense.

FOURTH.- COMMUNICATION TO THE WINNERS

The winners will be selected by the jury after October 31st, 2017. The competition winners will be contacted personally, via the provided mail, within 10 days from the selection of the winner in order to proceed with the acceptance of the prize. Within 10 days, the winner must confirm acceptance of the prize through the mail. If, within 10 days, the winner has not been located or does not accept the prize, or fails to comply with the conditions of these Terms and Conditions, the I-LINC Consortium reserves the right to award the prize to one of the other participants who has the reserve position.

 

FIFTH.- GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

The data provided by participating must be true. In the event of the winner of this promotion having provided any false data, the prize shall be awarded to one of the other participants who has the reserve position.

The prize is personal and not transferable.

The marketing or sale of the prize is prohibited.

The claim period of the promotion will end fifteen days after the date of communication to the winners of the prize obtained.

The participants, by the mere fact of participating in this promotion, accept this terms and conditions.

 

SIXTH.-IMAGE RIGHTS

The participants authorize the I-LINC Consortium to reproduce and publically communicate via the competition website, and via any other websites owned by I-LINC Consortium where it deems appropriate, the selfie or the video containing the images, for the purposes of facilitating and managing his participation, and to reproduce and use her or his data and image worldwide and in any medium related to the competition covered by these terms and conditions, without this use giving them the right to any remuneration or profit with the exception, where appropriate, of the award of the prize won. The participant expressly authorizes I-LINC Consortium to publish both the full name and the image on the respective website or on other graphic or audiovisual media (including digital and mobile media) making reference to their status of participant in the competition covered by these terms and Conditions.

Participant undertakes to gather the entrepreneur's consent for using his or her image by the I-LINC Consortium for the purposes mentioned above. Participant shall hold harmless the I-LINC Consortium for all the damages that the breach of this requirement may cause.

 

SIXTH.-LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

I-LINC Consortium is not liable for:

  • Any services that third companies must provide in relation to this competition.
  • Any failures or incidences in telecommunications systems that prevent normal access to or operation of the competition website.
  • Any damages of any kind due to temporary lack of availability or operational continuity of telecommunications networks.
  • Any damages arise as a result of not gathering the entrepreneur's consent.

 

SEVENTH.-RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

I-LINC Consortium reserves the right to disqualify any participants who misuse this competition and/or prize draw, perform fraudulent acts or harm other participants

I-LINC Consortium reserves the right to disqualify and even withdraw the prize from any participants that contravene these terms and conditions. In the event of participants failing to comply with the instructions of I-LINC Consortium, the latter may withdraw the right to the prize.

 

EIGHTH.-PRIVACY POLICY

For purposes of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data, you are hereby informed that the information you send us will be included in the I-LINC File, an automated personal data file system owned by TELEFÓNICA, S.A. This automated file system has been properly registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, and the purpose thereof is to send them communications strictly related to the project as newsletter, questionnaires, invitations to attend on-site and online events, etc.

Likewise, you hereby authorize the transfer and, where necessary, the international transfer of your personal data to the Consortium incorporated for the I-LINC with the sole purpose of implementing the I-LINC Project. Telefónica, S.A., Sustainable Innovation's Corporate Management, with a registered office at Distrito C, Edificio Central, Planta 3ª, Ronda de la Comunicación S/N 28050, as the party responsible for the file system, guarantees that you may exercise the rights of access, correction, deletion and objection to the data provided by means of a letter accompanied by a copy of your Identity Document addressed to Telefónica S.A. at the address indicated above or to the following e-mail address: info@i-linc.eu

Submitting the information required, you explicitly consents the incorporation of your personal data in the Telefónica, S.A. file, according with the purposes above described. You also undertake to gather the entrepreneur's consent to the processing of his or her data by Telefónica, S.A. and by the I-LINC Consortium mentioned above for the intended purpose. The student shall hold harmless Telefónica, S.A. and the I-LINC Consortium for all the damages that the breach of this requirement may cause.

Users will be the only responsible of the falseness, inaccuracy, incompleteness or outdated of their personal data provided in the forms

 

ELEVENTH.-APLICABAE LAW AND JURISDICTION

This competition is governed by Spanish law and for any dispute arising with regard to its validity, effectiveness, interpretation or execution, the parties waive any jurisdiction that may apply to them and expressly submit to the Courts of Madrid.
